# Roadmap

> The full Exterview roadmap: the last 12 months of delivery and the planned work through December 2026, so you can plan a rollout around what's real.

## Purpose

One view of Exterview's delivery: where the platform came from over the last year, and where it's going through December 2026.

Exterview is the intelligence layer that sits above your ATS. A capability earns a place on this roadmap when it makes a hiring decision smarter, more reproducible, or more auditable. Operational workflow lives in the systems underneath us; where Exterview touches that workflow, it does so as an integration the intelligence drives, not as a product we are trying to become. The roadmap below is organized on that principle.

For everything shippable today, see [Now Available](/product-updates/now-available). For the near-term slice, see [Upcoming](/product-updates/upcoming). For dated detail, see the [Changelog](/product-updates/changelog).

## Planned: through December 2026

Planned work is grouped by the four ways Exterview deepens the intelligence, followed by the operational integrations that intelligence drives.

### Evaluation depth

More signal per interaction, and higher-integrity evidence behind each score.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="AI Skill Assessment" icon="clipboard-check" href="/walkthroughs/ex-skill-assessment">
    A role-relevant skill assessment with a structured outcome report, evidence, and reviewer summary.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Candidate identity verification" icon="id-card" href="/guides/identity-verification">
    Government-ID and live face-match checks before an interview begins, so the
    evidence is tied to the real candidate.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Panel and HR rounds" icon="users" href="/walkthroughs/ex-panel">
    Structured panel evaluation and HR behavioral rounds, each producing a decision-ready report. On the roadmap, targeting Q1 2027. See also [EX HR](/walkthroughs/ex-hr).
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

### Calibration and compounding

Scoring that sharpens per customer, closing the loop from decision to outcome.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Onboarding Buddy" icon="handshake" href="/walkthroughs/ex-onboarding-buddy">
    Post-hire onboarding support that surfaces early-success signals before day 90 and feeds them back into calibration.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Role Fit check-in" icon="chart-line" href="/walkthroughs/ex-role-fit">
    A structured post-hire check-in that flags role-fit risk and follow-up
    recommendations.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Offer recommendation and join-likelihood" icon="handshake-angle" href="/walkthroughs/ex-hr">
    An intelligence read on offer terms and the likelihood a candidate accepts and
    joins. The offer document and signature flow are handled as an integration,
    below. Planned for a future release.
  </Card>

  <Card title="EX Improve" icon="arrow-trend-up" href="/guides/ex-improve">
    Supervised learning that recommends scoring refinements from your outcomes, always under human approval.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

### Reasoning and transparency

Making the intelligence explainable, governable, and easy to interrogate.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Smaya, read-only Q&A" icon="messages" href="/smaya/overview">
    The first release of Exterview's in-app companion: a read-only Q\&A agent with citations, scoped to the record on screen.

  </Card>

  <Card title="AI Digital Twin" icon="user-gear" href="/guides/digital-twin">
    Customer-specific customization of the AI interviewer persona.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

### Reach of the intelligence

Letting the intelligence be queried from wherever a decision-maker already works, without becoming the system of record.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Candidate-first job matching" icon="magnifying-glass-arrow-right" href="/guides/find-jobs">
    A candidate uploads one resume and Exterview surfaces the best-fit open roles, each with a reason.
  </Card>

    Per-panel-member decision-vector scoring that sharpens ranking on top of panel
    rounds.
  </Card>

    A governed, read-only way for approved AI assistants to query hiring data. The third tier of [Smaya](/smaya/overview).
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

### Integrations the intelligence drives

Operational steps that belong to your ATS and workspace. Exterview connects to them so the intelligence can act, but does not try to own them.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="ATS two-way sync" icon="arrows-rotate" href="/guides/integrations">
    Bidirectional sync with your ATS or HRMS. One-way export is already live.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Offer generation and e-signature" icon="file-signature" href="/guides/setup-communication">
    Document generation and signature handled through integration, driven by the
    offer recommendation above.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Candidate messaging and drip" icon="envelope" href="/guides/drip-campaigns">
    Email, SMS, and messaging sequences the intelligence triggers, sent through
    your comms channels rather than a separate inbox we own.
  </Card>

## FAQs

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why is the roadmap organized this way?">
    Exterview is an intelligence layer, not an ATS. Grouping by evaluation depth, calibration, reasoning, and reach keeps the focus on decision quality. Operational steps appear only as integrations the intelligence drives.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is anything under Planned available today?">
    No. Everything in the Planned section is target-dated, not shipped. See [Now
    Available](/product-updates/now-available) for what you can deploy today.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How firm are these targets?">
    They're planning targets, not commitments. Everything planned is scheduled to
    land before December 2026, but treat individual items as directional.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's the difference between this page and Upcoming?">
    This page is the full view, shipped and planned. [Upcoming](/product-updates/upcoming) is just the near-term slice landing next.
