How to Review an AI Interview

Before you start

The candidate needs a completed interview. See Configure your AI interviewer.

Steps

Open the interview record

Find it from the candidate’s profile or the job’s candidate list.

Watch or replay the response

Play back the recorded interview.

Read AI-flagged strengths and gaps

See what the AI surfaced against the role’s competencies.

Check the evidence

Read what the candidate said against each competency. Upcoming: Recording Chapters, to jump to the moment each question was asked.

Score or override

Confirm the AI’s read, or override it with a written justification. The original score stays on record.

Best practices

A report is decision support, not a verdict. These practices come from Human Review.

Read the evidence first. What the candidate said, and how it maps to the rubric.	Reading the number first. The score summarizes the evidence; it does not replace it.
Spot-check the citations that most affect the decision.	Trusting a claim with no citation checked. Every claim traces to a moment in the session.
Compare candidates on the same dimensions.	Comparing on overall impression. That is where inconsistency creeps back in.
Own the call. Use the report to decide faster and more defensibly.	Outsourcing the decision to the score. No adverse decision is made autonomously.
